Spiritual Resources

Below you will find several different resources to assist you on your spiritual journey with Christ. Please continue to check back to this page, as resources will continuously be added for your use.

Chiara Light from the Chiara Center

The Chiara Center is one of the healing ministries of the Hospital Sisters of St. Francis. All who are part of the Chiara (Clare) Center ministry are committed to the spirit of St. Clare of Assisi who understood and embraced the gospel vision of St. Francis of Assisi and cast a healing light throughout the world. We dedicate ourselves to revealing Christ’s healing presence by offering hospitality to those seeking peace; providing the environment, experiences and resources for contemplative living; promoting the Franciscan values of peace, reconciliation and justice; forming leaders in the ministry of healing; and developing programs and services to promote a healing spirituality. Click here to sign up to receive the Chiara Light, a newsletter providing peaceful reflections and information on events at Chiara Center.

Daily Gospel Through Art

Most Christians no longer see art as being important or even as a relevant way of promoting the faith; and non-believers don't value Christianity as having been at the forefront of the arts throughout the centuries, responsible for creating some of the most magnificent artworks out there. Christian Art Today offers an exciting way to look at art thru the lens of Christian spirituality. Their offering is simple: one newsletter a day where they simply send you the Gospel reading of the day, alongside a work of art that they believe is poignant, reflective, and appropriate to that reading. Free Online Course on The Theology of the New Evangelization

We hear a lot about the New Evangelization but few have explored the depths of church teaching on this topic. This summer, Sacred Heart Major Seminary is offering a free short interactive online course called “Theology of the New Evangelization” featuring a number of Sacred Heart faculty, including Ralph Martin, Mary Healy, Robert Fastiggi and others. This course will cover the teachings of Popes Paul VI, John Paul II, Benedict XVI, and Francis on the New Evangelization with both a theological and practical focus. The course starts July 6, but you can access the course now. Register for this wonderful opportunity to grow by visiting: www.shms.edu/ne.
